Be A Man!!!!

Fight for our beliefs!
This post is for the men out there. Yesterday was Black Friday. The day that brings out the worst in most people. The greed, selfishness, and utter immaturity of the people. In one instance there were two men who were fighting over a toy car. Yes, grown men. (If you want to read more on this, here is the link: They even let you watch the video. How generous. This incident disgusted me and so I thought I would write a letter to the men out there. (I am well aware that women definitely have their share of such behavior on Black Friday as well).

My dear fellow men,
What has happened to Godly manhood? Is fighting over toys in a store, kneeling during the national anthem, or cussing excessively what it has come to? I must say, especially proven by this incident, age does not make one a man. Christ died for us and is more persecuted now than ever. Don't be cowards! Step up and fight for your principles, not a toy car. Remember Thomas Jefferson's words, "One man with courage is a majority." Put on the armor of God! Not the toy one that comes in aisle three. Take back the kingdom of God! Stand for the principles which you say you believe in so firmly. Prove to God you want His kingdom! When you die, will you be remembered for attending sports games? For playing video games? For attaining wealth? For buying a toy car? No! You will be remembered for your principles and if you were worthy enough to believe them! I am calling you all to take the fight and to only press forward. Fight Satan in the public square, where he is demanding approval everyday. Pray the rosary. Fight for Holy Mother Church against every way in which She is attacked. Let integrity guide you! When you fight for the Lord and make yourself worthy of Him, you are worthy of anything. Be a man! More so, be a man of God and a knight of Our Lady!

Thank you!

What culture says vs. what God says

A lot of people think that wearing immodest clothes makes them look cool.... but it really doesn't.

Hello my dear readers! I know I didn't post anything last month..... My sincere apologies. But, I have put together yet another outfit in hopes if inspiring you to continue in the fight to dress modestly but also femininely and elegantly!
We are daughters of God and Modesty is the virtue which we show others our hearts and do not distract them by wearing 'intriguing' clothing. I might have said this before but I find that all clothing is attractive.... But what do you want to attract? That is where the difference lies.
We dress beautifully because we are made in the image and likeness of God and He is grandeur itself. What better way to portray Him? He wants to show us off to others and say "Look at my daughter! See her heart and how beautiful it is!" Anyway, let's get to the outfit! :)
Another place, another time, yet still a girl, like me, with hopes, fears, and dreams.Lisa Auger : Apple Trees Like Lace I just love the elegance of the women in these paintings! pino daeni - Searchdress skirt jacket coat top hat hair character <-- I'm basically pinning this for the Dobermann =P you don't see enough of them!

So, this was already put together but I just love it! The colors scream Autumn and they are perfect for a nippy November!

Since the items she is wearing are not available for sale, I found some other things to attach if you are interested in buying something online!

The red skirt is also available in gray and a light brown.

I love the pattern on that skirt! Festive and elegant!

Here are some beautiful shirts that I found also. Due to the copyright, I cannot upload the pictures here but I have the links so that you can look at them if you are interested!

1. (comes in multiple colors)
2. (comes in multiple colors)
4. (comes in multiple colors)

That is all folks! Oh yes! I have a hat blog coming up and also, I promise there will be more book reviews soon!
Signing off for now... God bless you and God bless America!

(One last picture... I love how this picture frames the frustration of today's world making it hard to dress modestly :) The sarcasm says it ALL)

This is exactly why girls take so long to get ready!!! We always have to put on 25 hundred layers of clothes on!!! .... and then fix our hair, pick out our shoes, make sure our purse doesn't clash.... lol

That's Right, Open That Mind!

30 Inspirational Quotes About Women That Encourages To See The Best In Life
Hello Everyone! I FINALLY sat down to write this blog. I have wanted to do this one for a long time now.
Why did I title this article in such a way? Well, if it intrigues you, keep reading!

Femininity (and all Catholics really) require the art of open mindedness. I am going to start with a few stories of personal experience. I work with a young man who has more liberal ideas and need I say more? We don't really agree politically (amazing how elections can bring everyone to talk about politics and reveal more about them!). Anyway, we have had many arguments about multiple topics. However, he is still one of my favorite people to work with (also, he showed me that not all liberals are immature and that you can still be professional after an argument)... Why do I like to work with him so much? He is open minded! Other people at work have observed the 'arguments' and they made ridiculous comments and even he silenced them because he was not arguing to embarrass me or anything of that sort. He has even stated that he just wants to know why I think certain things to understand my point of view and have a mature conversation. Now, I know multiple people who share the same beliefs politically but they will shut down everything I say - on every little matter..... every. little. thing. They definitely do not make me feel welcome and I count the minutes until they are gone. So, why be open-minded? I have an analogy. Imagine that you are a house and it is storming outside. You see people outside who do not know where to go. They are looking but cannot find a peaceful place to resist the storm. Seeing them, you call out to them and tell them to come in. But, you also have locked your doors. You continue to tell them how wonderful it is inside and they might even try to enter. But, you never open the door. You say great things but will then refuse to really help them. What is the obvious result? They are gong to move on and pay no heed to you again and you lost that opportunity to share your faith with them.
We women are the ones to nurture others (physically AND spiritually). We care for them and we show them that we care about them. As Catholics this is especially important because we are the messengers of Christ. Being open minded shows that you value others' opinions which shows that you care about them and are truly not only being condescending because you alone know the truth. That is more likely to win people over for Christ (not to mention that others will enjoy your company much more). Also, a conversation goes both ways, one needs to listen and one needs to speak. The rules apply to all! Let me also be clear. Open-mindedness means not that you have to agree with them, but, that you are open to discussion and hearing all perspectives to gain understanding. Also, have you noticed how some people will not discuss things because they are afraid they are wrong? To open your mind to others shows that you are grounded in your convictions but that you want to understand them and that you are also always open to learning (especially because no one is knows everything, you might learn something new!) . I just want to also add that I find closed minded people to be rude and it usually drives from selfish motives and has no patience and lacks any virtue. Just a last thought. Our Blessed Lord has an open mind with us. He wants us to bring all our joys, thoughts, and prayers to Him in order for Him to perfect us because He is perfection and only He can make us perfect. He loves us more than we can even imagine. With that thought, have a blessed Sunday!
God bless you and God bless America!

Book Review! Scarlet Letter and Enemy Brothers.

helavik: (via Little Women - Jo March by Erin McGuire: FICTION — LightGreyArtLabShop) Part of the FICTION section of the Girls: Fact Fiction exhibition, featuring 100 illustrators and designers who have portrayed their favorite women, heroines, and inspirations.
Hello Everyone! I finally have my first book review post! I have recently finished two books: The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorn and Enemy Brothers by Constance Savery.

The Scarlet Letter (a story about two adulterers in the Puritan community who must wear an "A" on their breast to shame them for committing adultery) I will give a 3 out of 5 for a couple reasons. While it is not the walk in the meadow type of story, it conveys a few things. One, it gives a better appreciation for my faith because I know that God forgives and that I can move on. If I repent, then He will forgive me. Hester's Puritan community does not allow Hester forgiveness, and so, after her sin, she could never ever... ever.... be worth anything or achieve anything because her sin was so great that she could not be forgiven, thus she is the center of ridicule and shame. Also, in the end, when Hester repents, she becomes a refuge for other women in similar instances. She is Puritan but she has that element of a Catholic Lady in the end when she becomes a counselor for other women showing them that there is hope for them and forgiveness because if you repent, God will forgive. She shows them that they are not alone. This is an element of a true lady who sympathizes with others and becomes a spiritual mother. She sets an example and others will learn to follow in her path of love which is a reflection of God's love. We cannot condone the sin, but we can forgive the sinner. I think that the end of the story shows that beautifully. The second reason that I give a good rating to the book is that amazing writing technique of Nathaniel Hawthorn. He writes very differently than most authors and it amazes me how he can go on for two pages and say absolutely nothing! Not really but he has an expressive vocabulary and a way of saying things without actually saying them.

Enemy Brothers (a story about an English family during WWII who finds their brother who was kidnapped and grew up in Nazi Germany and their journey to helping him accept his family and ancestry.) I will give it a 4.5 out of 5. First, I love all things WWII... the stories, the history, and the fashion. Also, this is a charming story about family love and patience. It shows brotherly love and creates a problem... Making you wish that the characters were real people!!!! I find it charming that even though this is a novel, it very well could have been a true story. I highly recommend reading this one! It is a very quick read!

I hope to be blogging more often in the future! Have a blessed week and happy reading!

Following Up On Suggestions

Hello All!!! Thank you so much for the suggestions for a blog topic! I enjoyed reading all the ideas for the blog and I have a couple of lists made in response to the ideas!
First, I wanted to share some pictures of our little Winchester... !!

He is 11 weeks old today!!!
He is behaving so well for the camera!! :)

Ok so Farm Lassie said "Maybe you could give a post about brands of clothing that tend to give more modest choices? I would be curious for a post like that."

Great question! I put together a list of different places I find modest clothing.
First I want to say I do scavenge at Kohls and Maurices and am successful once and a while... I highly recommend Dressbarn if you have one near you. They have quality clothing and a good selection of things to choose from. I also enjoy looking at all thrift stores and I am amazing at what I find because I never see things in stores and then like magic they appear in a thrift store! I just had a haul from Goodwill and found lots of good things!!! Now for online.
Chicwish is a good place to look for skirts. I have ordered multiple from there and can vouch for the quality. I would avoid their dresses and shirts because they tend to be immodest. However most of their skirts are modest and very stylish.
Chicwish -
ShabbyApple I have never ordered from but I like their website and I would recommend looking through there as well.
ShabbyApple -
JPeterman is a bit more pricey but they have high quality clothing and I can vouch for that. I enjoy browsing through their website and I do find some good things....... I am not saying that everything they offer is appropriate, but they have a good selection.
Amazon is also a resort I go to and find some good things. If you like vintage clothing, I recommend looking at vintage clothing websites because a lot of their clothing (not all) is modest and very cute!!!
A vintage website I enjoy is TopVintage ( They also have very good quality clothing.
One last website that I would like to share has some clothing but is a great nostalgic website that is very pleasurable to relax and browse through.....

Also, for inspiration on how to mix different styles and colors, I look at Pinterest because it offers a wide variety of styles...
These are just a few of the ones I am successful at finding good clothing with and I hope that helps!!!

Now Marilyn has said " I would like to see recommendations for books you approve of to read. Also I would love to see outfits that are sold in modest stores or online that are truly feminine."

In the outfit of the month, I try to add the link of where the clothing is available in the blog, although I cannot always do it......

And for the books, here is a list I have made up that I have really enjoyed:

To start with the novels,
1) Waking Rose, by Regina Doman is the third in her series and it is a Catholic retelling of fairytales. I have read Waking Rose 3 times already!!
2) An Old Fashioned Girl, by Louisa May Alcott, is an excellent book about a girl who lives in the country and goes to live with a girl in the city that is changing to modern views (in the early 1900s) and she has to hold on to her traditional values.
3) Awakening A Crossroads In Time, by Claudia Cangilla McAdam, is also a good book about a teenage girl who doesn't understand her faith and she gets sick and dreams that she was in the time that Jesus lived and she walks through His Passion... But, was it really a dream??

And here are other books whether on modesty or religion,
1) An Exorcist Explains the Demonic, by Fr. Gabriele Amorth, is very informational and answers all the questions a person could have about possessions, vexations, obsessions....etc. It is good to know to be aware of Satan's workings that go unnoticed by the majority.
2) Dressing With Dignity, by Colleen Hammond, is a good read. It goes over the history of dress throughout the last century and why the world changed its values on modesty. She includes guidelines for modesty, places to find modest clothing, and she gives a new perspective on being feminine and graceful. This read makes one proud to be a woman! (Not like the false lies of the feminists)
3) St. Michael And The Angels, which talks about the 9 choirs of angels and is a good source to read with the first book I listed as it gives a lot of information on the angels that many do not know.
4) An American Knight, by Norman Fulkerson, is a biography on the amazing Colonel John Ripley who was in the Marine Corps and single-handedly blew up the Dong Ha bridge during the Vietnam War. He was a devout Catholic and model man. He was so impressive that while you are reading the book, it is almost hard to believe that everything he endured was real and not a fairytale. This book comes HIGHLY recommended. Also, I know the author and would love to have your copy signed if you are interested. If you are, I should be seeing the author in October and can get the copies then. Please email if you would like one. (The book will cost $10)
4) The last one I have is The Glories of Mary, by St. Alphonsus De Liguori. I actually have only read half of it and need to finish but I enjoyed it so much. It really increases one's devotion and love of the Blessed Virgin because it shows how much she loves us. This is a great book to read.

Alright I apologize for how long this post is but I hope that these lists help you! Also, I am hoping to read more in the future and do book reviews as part of the blog as well. Let me know what you think!
God Bless!

And Finally, My Immaculate Heart Will Triumph

Hello everyone! Here is an article written by my sister about this past weekend on a protest in Belle Plain, Minnesota. The protest consisted of praying so that this town does not proceed with its plan to place a satanic monument in their veterans park. They are actually reconsidering placing the monument up so if you are outraged by this injustice to Our Lord, please call the town city council to express your discontent!
I have to express how impressed I was with how many people came to protest. In particular, there was a group of young men (maybe ages 15-25?) who were kneeling in formation the entire time and they prayed and sang with the group. It was inspiring to see young men taking a stand again! I also want to add that the temperature outside was 90 degrees and the sun was beating down on everyone. Without saying anymore, here is the report my sister has written.
                                                                 A New Crusade
"The date of July 15th is of great importance to history because of the momentous occurrences which took place. There are two in particular. The first happened in the year 1099 A.D. The first crusaders lead by Godfrey of Bouillon besieged and regained the stolen land of Jerusalem from the Muslims. 918 years later, another battle was fought, not with swords and crossbows, but with rosaries and hymns.
These new crusaders joined together at Belle Plaine, Minnesota, to pray the rosary to protest an affront to God and make reparation for the sin. The praying warriors stormed New Jerusalem with their prayers.
The particular issue which caused such a repercussion was the decision to allow a satanic monument to be erected in the Veterans Park. The statue, which is a cube with pentagrams on each side and an upturned helmet on top, will be the first public monument to satan.
The organization called America Needs Fatima answered God's call to publicly defend His honor and raised the standards for the fight. They called friends and strangers alike to gather an army for God to join them in the battle. About 200 gathered, some local, and some traveling as far as Kansas, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Iowa, and South Dakota.
But the prayer warriors were not without opposition. About nine satanists did appear to make a counter-protest.
Like the first crusaders in Jerusalem, the warriors of the rosary endured the scorching heat of the day. But the participators both young and old did not lose their enthusiasm for the fight.
The rosary rally began with a procession of a statue of Our Lady of Fatima. Then the rosary was prayed, begging for God's and Our Lady's blessings on America and hymns were sung in honor of Our Lady and God's kingship. Some knelt for the complete hour to offer another sacrifice to Our Lady. The new crusaders, with prayers said and hymns sung, placed their hopes in Our Lady's hands along with their public sacrifice of prayer so that as she promised, Our Queen will Triumph and crush the head of the serpent."

We continue to fight the battle but just remember that the battle is already won! Our Lady said herself, "And finally, My immaculate heart will triumph!"

Is Freedom a Duty or a Privilege?

You're a grand old flag, you're a high flying flag and forever in peace may you wave. You're the emblem of the land I love, the home of the free and the brave.
"I can do/say what I want! This IS a free country!"........ How many times do we hear this phrase today? I would certainly say too much. What is wrong with it? Well..... With America celebrating her independence this month, I would like to differentiate actual freedom from the common idea so often thought of today.
By definition, freedom just means to have no bounds and to be able to take an action without restrictions. But does this mean that all of a sudden, a man can disregard his moral duties? Definitely no.
women of the revolutionary war | Women during Revolutionary War | Themes in American History
America was founded by those men who were under a tyrannical reign and who could not defend their rights. Throughout history there have been persecutions of those defending the rights and duties of their faith and morals. They were silenced. America has fought again and again to keep its freedoms.
If freedom meant that man could do anything he willed, then would America be a perfect society because all men would be able to live their lives without any restraints to their happiness? If one man believes he is right to worship one God but another man has three gods, or if a man believes in human sacrifice while most others do not, how can all such people "coexist"? Do they all have the truth? They do not cannot and division is inevitable.
Happy 4th of July from the!
Freedom is not therefore a privilege to do as he pleases, but as he ought. He has freedom of speech, freedom of religion...etc in order to help him to find the truth and all the means to do just that. He cannot be restricted from doing the things commanded by the Divine Creator. Freedom gives mankind the ability to fulfill his duties of faith, to protect the innocent, and to give all men a chance to make the world a better place for the honor and glory of God. This is what the countless men have fought for in America since 1776 and must be protected.
May God Bless you and God Bless America!

Outfit of the month July 2017

A lot of people think that wearing immodest clothes makes them look cool.... but it really doesn't.

Hello Everyone! I know I have not been posting lately but I have been so busy (taking drivers ed and getting my temps! ) ... I hope you all had a blessed 4th of July, celebrating the beautiful land of the free and home of the brave!

This outfit is already put together and I could not do a better job myself. It has that simple elegance that reflects the pureness of soul rather than an immodesty of heart. To remain dignified and respectful by holding to ones values and to still be beautiful to the eye. If we reflect God in every manner, including how we present ourselves, then does this not make a perfect outfit for a lady of God?

Thank you all for your support and effort to be ladies of the Lord!

Is History Really That Important?

How many of us have said this studying History throughout the school years? “Why must I learn this?” “How does this help me?” and the list goes on. I am certainly guilty. Besides the tediousness of the subject, it is probably one of the most, if not the most, important subject. Why? Well, there are many reasons. How many have heard the phrase “History repeats itself”? If you never have before, now you have! It is very true however as one can see how even in the past century the governments have tried again and again to dominate the people. They wanted to take the education to make the people ignorant so that they would not rise against them. We’ve seen it happen in Russia, France, Germany…etc. The infamous Napoleon wanted to control the education to take away the Church’s influence on the people and to make the people accepting of the revolutionary ideology. Hitler later used the same strategy. If the people do not know history, they are ignorant of this and are dangerously liable to losing their freedom.
Another important reason for history is that culture develops over many many years and without history, no one would know the origin of their traditions. Perhaps nowadays when people are ignorant of their history, that is why our culture is diminishing as most people care about frivolous things such as playing video games or who went to Starbucks.
But, why is history SO important? Well, going back to the first point where the governments wanted to take control, what were the agendas? Yes, they were godless and the leaders wanted to eliminate God from society. Think about the word ‘history’ itself. Break it down. It is “His story”. All of history revolves around Jesus Christ. In the very beginning there is no other history than God’s creation of the earth. Everything else that has happened revolves around Christ’s redeeming plan. Without history, there is no tradition and there is no faith. It is certainly an evil plan to take away history in order to try to defeat Catholicism. Without history, we would not know the story of how God, out of His infinite love, justice, and mercy, completed the most redeeming act of love.
This is why we must preserve history and cherish it, with all the good that has happened, and all the evil as well. To honor the good, and to learn from the bad, and most especially, to know God better through his teachings and his beautiful and bittersweet sacrifice.
With Memorial Day this weekend, it is just another addition to this list. How many nowadays celebrate to remember the fallen or just celebrate because they have the day off of school and have another reason to party? Maybe a good way to celebrate this memorial day would be to go to a cemetery and find the tombstones of those who have served in our military and say a prayer for their souls and just remember their sacrifice for your freedoms. If you serve in the military, then I thank you with a sincere gratitude and God bless you indeed!

(One of my favorite stories in history is the story of the "Star Spangled Banner". Do you know the history of the song? If not, you can watch this video which is so beautifully narrated!

Travel - a Social Event?

Slide 1 of 15: We sometimes fantasize about what it was like to fly in the mid-20th century. Back then, people dressed up for flights rather than reaching for yoga pants, there were no baggage fees, you didn’t have to remove your shoes for security, and you enjoyed a full meal (with drinks!) during the flight. There were, of course, not-so-great aspects to it too: Air travel was reserved for the wealthy because of the high costs, routes were limited, and smoking on board was allowed.

The job of flight attendant, then referred to as “air hostess” or “stewardess,” was one of the few professions open to women in the 1930s. Soon, it became almost exclusively for women. Flight attendants were always stylish—some even wore designer uniforms. However, most of the first flight attendants were hired for more than their looks: When commercial air travel began, airlines required stewardesses to be registered nurses. The profession is more inclusive now, with a variety of men and women hosting flights around the world.

Here, we’ve rounded up 14 photos of the real stars of plane travel back in the day.

Photo by manhhai/FlickrHello all! Just wanted to share with you some pictures and some interesting facts! Nowadays whenever people travel around they dress casually and comfortably. Not too long ago that was quite different! Whether people cared about all the first impressions they would make on their travels or it was just that they wanted to present themselves the best they could wherever they were, they certainly cared more than most today. The flight attendants had to dress up and most were required to be registered nurses!

Slide 4 of 15: A flight attendant serves dinner on this coast-to-coast flight from Washington to Los Angeles in 1941.

Courtesy of Library of Congress Even if one was traveling on a train or any other means of transportation, he always presented himself with grace and poise. He did not take off his shoes or do any such things.
Slide 2 of 20: People used to dress up for train travel.
Slide 6 of 20: First class cars in particular were tastefully decorated.
Look at the way the train was decorated! Even though it is just a train, it reflects beauty and elevates one's soul, even just by traveling!
Slide 16 of 20: As was reading the newspaper.
notice how dressed up everyone is!

Just to sum up, I wanted to show you the difference between how people present themselves. As compared to the first picture it is clear how things have changed. We are all children of God and made in His image and likeness. That never changes and will never change. Since we represent Him, why would we want to look anything but our best?
Just a thought... Have a blessed weekend!

Welcome Summer!!.. and... Goodbye Modesty????

True manhood does not seek to compromise a woman's purity; true manhood stands up to heroically protect it.:

Hello everybody! Once again we are discussing one of the biggest problems in today's society. Yes, you guessed it... modesty. No one wants to talk about it. As summer walks through the door, apparently modesty walks right out. Some people claim that it is just too hot outside to be modest. Here's the deal. That can be true (depending on where one lives) but that is a sacrifice that we can offer to God for the other injustices in the world. Another claim is that it only matters what is in one's heart. But here is the question. Are you dressing for God, or for yourself? Because if it is really in your heart that you are dressing for God and not for attention and whatever reason, then you truly would be modest in what you wear and how you behave. I am not condemning those who dress this way but that is to refute the claims.
Now I will admit, it is very hard to stay true because it is attractive to us to wear what the world presents. Whether to fit in or gain attention, it is hard. I am often tempted and I mean to say that because I know how hard it is. I hope to encourage you to dress modestly. I used to think that everyone who dressed modestly just didn't like the options of the everyday stores. But I discovered it was not the case and that everyone struggles and it is okay to admit to that. Also there are two ways to look at it. To dress modestly and to dress immodestly are both 'attractive' because they attract something towards you. What they attract, however, is quite different.
Modesty is not only the way in which one dresses but the entire way in which he behaves. When a person is of God they will speak, dress, and behave in a Godly manner. That is, with virtue and reflection on God's infinite qualities. We are made in the image and likeness of God and so we must not represent Him as something that contradicts His teachings. To honor him and to reflect Him in us, we must be Godly and do our best to please Him.
One question to ask yourself is "When I am at the final judgement and God asks me why I said ****** or why I wore *****, what will I respond?" Because in the end, it only matters what we do for Him and not to be 'cool'. We must be prudent in every aspect of our lives.
Purity and modesty are different but directly related. modesty is outward dress and behavior while purity is intentions of the heart
So as summer comes, I urge you to remain with a pure heart and if you are interested, you can take a purity pledge here:

This is the pledge and you can sign it by going to the website given:

Outfit of the Month May 2017

Firstly, I would like to wish everyone a blessed 100th anniversary of the first apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima. We need to continue to pray for the world!

Now, it is that time of the month! Summer is on its way and it becomes harder and harder to dress modestly as the weather gets warmer and everyone else is wearing the clothes of the world. It becomes hard because we really stand out! But it is so important.
So this outfit was already put together but I think it was a good outfit for Spring because it is modest and feminine and has quite the color!

The Legend of the Easter Bunny: Part 3

"When the rabbit awoke, it smelled of dawn. He remained by the tomb all through that long day. He ate a little. He slept. All was quiet. When night came, the soldiers brought torches for more light. The rabbit watched the shadows of the torches on the flickering rock. The rabbit was hungry and tired, but the whole world felt empty without that Man, so he knew he couldn't leave.

The sky was just turning pink around the edges when the rabbit woke again. He opened his eyes, stretched his long ears, and listened. He heard the sound of snoring. He hopped silently in the direction of the sound and found two guards asleep on the ground. When the rabbit turned back to the tomb, he noticed the large stone had been rolled away. He hopped silently to the edge of the tomb and peered inside. "You are still here," said a voice in a whisper, causing the rabbit to freeze with fright. The rabbit did not dare breathe, but he turned his tall ear, just a little. "Thank you," said the voice, which the rabbit now recognized as belonging to the Man. "You have given me a great gift," the Man told the furry, white rabbit. "You have stayed with me. You have kept watch and you have waited." The rabbit relaxed. He was no longer afraid.

Because the rabbit remained and did not run away, he got a very special gift in return. Each Easter Sunday, the rabbit is used to share the beautiful message of the first Easter morning with the children of the world. Easter morning is a day for rejoicing with Easter baskets and brightly decorated eggs. The egg is a symbol. Just as a chick bursts our of an egg's shell, Jesus came out of that cold tomb. Jesus has risen, forever. And he will never leave us--not when we're sad, not when we're in trouble, and not when we're in pain. He loves us too much."

I hope you all have a very Blessed Easter filled with many graces. This is a special time of year that always reminds us of our sins and shows us that with our fallen nature, Christ still loves us and has died for us. The battle is already won and the devil has been defeated so never fear! And have a blessed Easter!

The Legend of the Easter Bunny: Part 2

"Dawn came. Loud shouts rang out and the rabbit watched as soldiers came out into the courtyard, pushing the Man roughly in front of them. They were headed right toward the rabbit's hiding spot. The Man staggered under the weight of a wooden beam. Surrounded by shouting soldiers on all sides, he fell to the ground. The rabbit looked deep into the Man's eyes. The Man struggled to get up. Pounding feet all around sent a cloud of dust into the air. The sun climbed higher in the sky. From his hiding spot in the wall, the rabbit could see the Man as he walked on through the streets of the city. The rabbit's heart pounded with fear, but he knew he couldn't leave a Man who was in so much pain.

Overhead, the sun blazed down. The rabbit hopped boldly up the hill where they had taken the man. The Man looked down with a loving gaze. Women were weeping. A young man and an older woman stood together nearby. Suddenly, everything became completely still. for a moment, there was no sound and no movement. Then, rain poured down from the sky and the earth shook. Dripping wet and trembling with fear, the rabbit felt as if the whole world were angry. As suddenly as it began, everything became quiet once more. The Man had died. The rabbit shivered and trembled, but he knew he couldn't leave a Man who had shown such love.

A group of women gathered, crying quietly. Men carefully took the body off the cross. They laid the body in one woman's lap, then carried it to a nearby tomb. Everyone lingered for a moment and then walked quietly out. Almost at one, the men rolled a large rock in front of the entrance to the tomb. There was a small cozy spot just under the curve of the rock in front of the tomb. The rabbit hid there and closed his eyes."
